01 — Why the directorate was established

The Financial Control and Audit Directorate was established to strengthen the university's internal control system, ensure the optimal use of financial resources, reduce financial errors and deviations, and apply the principles of transparency and integrity — in line with modern financial governance requirements and higher institutional performance.

To reach a high level of accuracy and transparency in managing the university's financial resources, and to strengthen the principles of financial integrity and sound governance.

03 — Mission

Ensuring compliance with financial laws and regulations, strengthening the efficient management of financial resources in support of the sustainability of the academic process and institutional development, and safeguarding the university's assets through effective control and accounting systems.

Prepare, implement, and monitor financial control over the university's general budget.

Conduct pre- and post-audits of all financial operations (receipts and payments).

Review salaries, bonuses, and financial contracts.

Conduct accounting audits of financial records, entries, and ledgers.

Supervise the inventory of assets, stock, and cash.

Follow up on and settle the university's financial receivables.

Review contracts and projects and verify their financial compliance.

Prepare periodic financial and control reports.

Coordinate with the external auditor and facilitate their work.

Propose improvements to financial procedures and systems.
