The Faculty of Pharmacy at Ebla Private University features a range of scientific projects and research prepared by its students across various pharmaceutical and medical fields. These projects reflect the students' commitment to keeping pace with the latest scientific developments and addressing contemporary health issues.

Project List

This is a non-surgical therapeutic strategy that has attracted growing interest due to its high selectivity and limited side effects.
Despite significant progress in clinical research on PDT (Photodynamic Therapy), the full scope and depth of its clinical application have not yet been realized, due to limitations such as insufficient light penetration depth, non-targeted photosensitizers (PSs), and tumor hypoxia. As a result, numerous studies have focused on innovative strategies to overcome these limitations and enhance the therapeutic effect of PDT.
This research presents a detailed overview of recent advances in these innovative PDT approaches, covering the design of PS systems, their mechanisms of action, and examples of application. In addition, it discusses the current challenges facing these innovative strategies for clinical application, as well as future perspectives for further improving PDT.
According to statistics, the number of cancer patients is far from negligible, and patients are in urgent need of drugs with sufficiently high efficacy to eliminate tumors while also ensuring high selectivity for tumor cells alone — leaving normal cells intact and undamaged, so that the patient's body remains healthy and unharmed by exhaustion or deterioration.
Research in this direction has continued in order to provide patients with drugs offering high standards of efficacy and selectivity. However, we still have a long way to go in reaching our goals as pharmacists and healthcare specialists, even though promising treatment options and drug classes such as sulfonamides have become available.
We hope to achieve high cure rates in the near future, at low cost and without side effects for patients, in order to overcome cancer and its physically and financially exhausting effects on patients and their families.
However, patients must be strongly encouraged not to hesitate to see a doctor whenever they notice any unusual symptom affecting any part of the body, so that the disease can be diagnosed in its early stages — which improves prognosis and raises cure rates.

Addiction is a widespread phenomenon in our society, and addictive behavior is often observed to first form during childhood and adolescence, persisting as the person grows older.
Prevention and awareness are the primary factors in overcoming this problem.
Prevention of addiction begins with educating children about its risks, which is considered an effective step in protecting them from addiction in the future. This education must be free of stereotypes and reinforced with clear explanations and verified information. Children and adolescents must also be empowered to face their problems with courage, which protects them from turning to addiction as an escape from reality.
Combating unemployment is an important part of confronting addiction — not only at the level of governments, but also parents must provide their children with the experience and knowledge needed to enter the job market.
Confronting addiction firmly protects society from collapse and protects the family from breakdown and hardship. We must therefore watch over our children and treat the addicted person as a victim who needs help, seeking specialists as early as possible so that we can confront addiction effectively and swiftly on sound medical and scientific grounds.
The digestive system is one of the body's most important systems and must be kept healthy, since any dysfunction in it leads to numerous health problems. The digestive system may be affected by various diseases that impair its function, for a range of causes that deserve close attention.
There are many diseases and health problems that can affect the digestive system and disrupt its normal function. These disorders can affect different parts of the digestive system and the digestive tract, and their severity ranges from acute or mild disturbances lasting short periods — such as mild cases of heartburn — to severe or chronic disorders that can, in some cases, be life-threatening, such as ulcers. Digestive diseases are accompanied by a variety of symptoms that can be quite distressing in some cases, such as bloating, diarrhea, constipation, and other digestive disturbances. It is therefore essential to shed light on these disorders, along with their appropriate treatment and prevention methods.
