Ministerial Delegation Visits Ebla University for Medicine College Review

Specialized Committee from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Visits Ebla Private University and Ebla Hospital

As part of completing the procedures for evaluating the readiness of private higher education institutions to establish new colleges, departments, institutes, and academic programs, a specialized technical committee conducted a field visit to Ebla Private University and Ebla Hospital to review the university's facilities and equipment, and to verify compliance with quality and accreditation requirements - particularly regarding the project to establish a College of Human Medicine.

The visit was conducted pursuant to Decision No. (160) forming the specialized technical committee, issued by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation on 24/08/2026.

  • Mr. Nael Ahmad Fathi Al-Sheikh Wasouf - Director of Administrative Development at the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Committee Secretary

The committee was accompanied by a number of faculty members, headed by the University President, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Firas Alloush. The committee toured the lecture halls, laboratories, educational equipment, library, and university facilities and services, and discussed the academic plans and programs, the academic and administrative staff, and the proposed capacity for the colleges and programs planned to be launched.

The visit also included Ebla Hospital, to review its departments, equipment, staff, and medical and educational capabilities, and its readiness to provide the clinical training environment required for students of the College of Human Medicine.

Ebla University affirmed its commitment to fulfilling all necessary academic, administrative, and technical requirements, and its dedication to launching its new programs in accordance with quality and academic accreditation standards, in line with the needs of the region and the labor market.

At the conclusion of the visit, the committee completed its field inspection and evaluation work. The findings and recommendations will be formally submitted to the relevant authorities to take the necessary action regarding the establishment requests submitted by the university.
